Represented pension plan participants in cases against their employers which arose out of the underpayment of lump sum benefits. These cases resulted in settlements that obtained for class members nearly all of the additional lump sum benefits to which we believed they were entitled.

Represented physician in claims that the third party pension plan administrator, which the physician retained for his practice’s defined benefit plan, miscalculated benefits and improperly counseled him concerning the termination of the plan. Obtained a settlement in which our client received a significant portion of the penalties he was forced to pay for terminating an overfunded plan.

Represented class of union pension plan participants in litigation over break-in-service rules. Settlement resulted in a payment to affected class members and a favorable modification to the plan’s break in service rule.
