Daria specializes in both employment law and professional liability matters.

In employment matters, Daria represents both employers and employees. She has successfully litigated claims relating to sexual harassment, wrongful termination, gender, race, age and disability discrimination, unpaid wages and overtime, commission disputes, breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets, and unfair competition. She has handled a wide variety of cases initiated as class actions, including employment and consumer claims. Daria has conducted trials in state courts and before the California Labor Commissioner, and has conducted arbitrations in various forums, including the Screen Actors Guild. Daria also provides general advice regarding employment related risk management.

In her professional liability practice, Daria represents individuals and firms in a wide variety of legal malpractice claims in the state of California. Daria has represented legal professionals in many settings, including: a federal bankruptcy trustee alleged to have acted outside his administrative duties; an attorney in a multi-million dollar claim for alleged malpractice relating to compliance with discovery obligations and failure to disclose potential conflicts; a firm alleged to have not met duties to a client as temporary/substitute counsel; and a firm in a contractual dispute with another firm over malpractice allegations presented by third party clients. Daria also generally advises attorneys and firms during the pendency of suspense claims and/or pre-litigation disputes surrounding potential violations of the rules of professional conduct.
